About Gabe

Gabe Mitchell is the drummer for Cherry & James, providing the pocket, power, and precision that anchor the band’s live sound. Hailing from Lebanon, Missouri, Gabe began taking music seriously in eighth grade, quickly developing a style marked by strong feel, musical awareness, and technical ability well beyond his years.

Gabe has had the opportunity to track drums for projects including James River Worship, LifePoint Worship, and the Paul Family Band, experiences that sharpened his versatility both on stage and in the studio. While he’d never say it himself, many musicians in the 417 would agree that Gabe has some of the best chops around — blending clean technique with an instinctive sense of when to drive and when to lay back.

Offstage, Gabe serves as the student youth coordinator at First Baptist Church of Lebanon. When he’s not behind a drum kit, he enjoys working out and spending time with his family. For Gabe, being part of Cherry & James is about fellowship as much as music, and that genuine connection with the people around him shows up in every performance.
